By God's Grace, I Am Still In the Race!

Well as you can guess from the title, today, by God’s boundless grace, I am 16! What a joy my sixteen years on this earth have been. I am so thankful for my mom and dad being willing to raise me up in the, “ admonition of the Lord”! I truly have a wonderful family who I know will always be there for me. Thank you Dad, Mom, BJ, and LJ for always loving me ( not liking but loving, because I know, there have been times that I have not been likable. :) and always being there. I love you all and THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I also have an absolute wonderful God and I am so thankful that sixteen years ago he began creating me and molding me into his image. I am thankful that He has, and always will, love me, despite my unworthiness, and sent his only precious son to die, yes, die, for me so that I might live a life freed from the bondages of sin. While salvation does bring heaven, it also removes sin’s power in my life and I am so thankful that he has made it possible to live that victorious life! THANK YOU LORD!

Well, as for my plans for today, I wanted to do some kind of a construction project with LJ and BJ like a birdhouse. However, I got a call last night and the mower at work is fixed! YEAH! So, today I am going to work. What a reality birthday! I am so excited that the mower is fixed so I will not complain! Birthday and all! Tonight then I am going to have a Bible study with some young guys and their dads of which I have discovered that I need to work on planning just a wee bit.... such as not waiting until the day before the event to invite. :)

Well, I must run. I am off to work shortly! Maybe I'll put together a post of pics later!

"I will praise You for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Ps. 139:14

    Have a awesome day!

  5. Wow Jacob!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I think you are brave because I am not going to put ANYTHING, except change my age in my profile, on my blog when I turn 15!!! Otherwise, I will have people tell me happy birthday and I don't like that :):):)

  6. Anna- why don't you like Happy Birthday?

  7. I don't know??? I just don't! It is really bad because the Sunday before any of our birthdays, Dad always announces it at chuch, but I begged him not to this year and he said he wouldn't. It is really awful because then everyone sings you "Happy Birthday"!!!!

As to all the B-day wishes, Thank you! I really am thankful that I am "here" on this world. Life has such purpose and I am so thankful for my parents bearing with me all these years... Oh no... It sounds like I am getting old!

Yep Lis... you are right. 16 feels no different. Although I do feel a just a wee little bit more tired. ( That's a mouthful :)

Oh Anna... you just gave away when your B-day is.... I'll have to find out when that conference is... Or just have Lisa email it to us... ;) JK

  14. Well... At first, OJ ( and no, that's not Orange Juice :) and I were going to fly out there this ( or next ) weekend. As you can guess, we aren't. ;( I have work and OJ has things he is doing too... I'll have to email you about that though... That would be to much info to give out on the blog.

So... I have now considered about maybe sometime in Sept? I don't know though...

All your students did a nice job on their songs!

    God bless~Shylock

  15. Yeah, Lis said to tell you to come for her birthday in Sept

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! You all should come in September because that's when my birthday is! Tyler leaves for Ireland the day before my bday (very cruel of him!) and so to replace the brother I'm "losing," you and Jus could come and I could have two! We could do music, ride horses, go driving the minis...It'd be a BLAST! Seriously...consider it!!! We would sooooooooooooooooooo love to see you all again!

    Lisa

Oh, and who is OJ? I want to know what "things" he has to do. So, email me!

  17. Hm... Maybe we will consider a trip out there.... It would be sad to not have Tyler there though.... What would we do? :) Well.. you said all that we could ( and most definitely would :) do but you forgot just one thing... playing airsoft at the R's! :) LOL David would like that and is already trying to rope me into coming out there.... We might... If my mom and dad say yes! Could we do Capture that Flag? That might just complete the bargain. :) Although.... no tripping. :) As for how to get there... David and I thought that maybe I could walk to save some money but we decided that I'd be crazy to try it. :)

Oh yeah.... I sent you all an email about "OJ". :)

  18. Got the email!

As I am totally not into airsoft, I have no comment on that one! To me, it is ridiculous, but..that's just IMHO. Paintball is crazy to me, too.

Oh yeah, Capture the Flag is a must. And, I don't trip people. Actually, if you want a funny story, ask David to tell you about last year at camp when I tripped over him. When he tells you, keep in mind that I don't remember doing it and think he's makingh it up....
