Good Morning!

Hey All!

It is a beautiful morning out there! Snow is coming down.... Everyone is sleeping late, what a relaxing way to start a day. :)

As some of you know I began reading through the gospels recently and I must admit, there is a lot that I didn't know. I would of thought growing up in church that I would know the stories pretty well which I do! It is the in depth life applications, that I never noticed. Such as in Mark 11 when Jesus cursed the fig tree. Later in the chapter the disciples, specifically Peter, Say, " " Master, behold, the fig tree which Thou cursedst is withered away." Jesus replied, "HAVE FAITH IN GOD." I know that I know God will do what He says but there is still that AMAZEMENT of His working. I MUST have Faith in God. I remember the time when J and I needed a new computer. We prayed and asked our parents to pray and one day on the way home from Church what was sitting on the curb? A Mac computer. My Dad looked and said, NO WAY. :) Understandable considering the fact that we had amassed a total of  around 4 towers and way to many computer parts. We had a computer building idea which didn't work out in the end anyway. :)and my dad didn't want to add to the pile.  Back to the story, Now after some conversing and sharing opinions with my Mom, my Dad decided that we could have the computer if we went down and knocked on the front door, asked if anything was wrong with it and brought it home. J and I shot out that door faster than you can count to 3. :) When it made it home we found that it was everything we needed. Praise the Lord! Having Faith in God...  but yet there are times that I struggle too. It isn't easy for me trust anyone in such a way. I like my independence in some areas. God has shown me though that he is ssssooo much greater! Greater in the sense of wisdom and love, not "squash you like a bug kinda greater." Having Faith.....

That all reminds me of a song that I am going to accompany someone in the near future. It is called By Faith. Here are the words.  ( Thanks Miss B. :)

BY FAITH

By faith we see the hand of God
In the light of creation's grand design
In the lives of those who prove His faithfulness
Who walk by faith and not by sight

By faith our fathers roamed the earth
With the power of His promise in their hearts
Of a holy city built by God's own hand
A place where peace and justice reign

We will stand as children of the promise
We will fix our eyes on Him our soul's reward
Till the race is finished and the work is done
We'll walk by faith and not by sight

By faith the prophets saw a day
When the longed-for Messiah would appear
With the power to break the chains of sin and death
And rise triumphant from the grave

By faith the church was called to go
In the power of the Spirit to the lost
To deliver captives and to preach good news
In every corner of the earth

We will stand...

By faith this mountain shall be moved
And the power of the gospel shall prevail
For we know in Christ all things are possible
For all who call upon His name

We will stand...

What words. Maybe when the time comes to "do" the song I'll put up a video of it.

God bless and have a great day! Don't forget to check the new poll. Also, I worked on my commenting settings so see if you can get it work.

Audios!

Answer to Poll #10!

Hey all!

As this is my tenth poll I thought I'd say thanks to all who have voted and I hope you all keep up with it!

Here is the answer,

Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar!

You all were correct! I'll try and get on later and put up a new poll but today we have some things to accomplish. Mom says, " You are off school but doesn't mean you sit around and do nothing. You are "off" school ( although learning doesn't ever stop. :) and you are "ON" chores." :) So I am off to chores!

God bless all!

Christmas Day!

Merry Christmas!

Today has started very well. I love spending time with my family... It is a joy to share our love in the form of gifts.

I have attached a couple of pictures of the happenings. Big J refused to have pictures of him in his Christmas "PJ's" so you unfortunately won't see him. :)

During the one picture I was telling my Mom to please wait until I got done pulling the sweater on. :) No... I wasn't sticking my tongue out despite what it looked like. :)

Oh yes. I was testing with the Panoramic features and thought I'd throw up the first one I did. It isn't perfect but it was surprisingly easy to take. You just take the picture then move the camera and there is a little dot that moves across the screen and you just line it up in this box and the camera takes it. You just keep going until you are done.

Gotta run. Breakfast is calling!
God bless your Christmas,
~Jacob
LJ with his gun. Boy, I thought it was just a little toy gun that shot rubber bullets. I was wrong. That gun has enough stuff to it to make me stay out of his way. :)

My Amazing Dad and Mom. Dad is just so funny... :)

My once again Amazing Mom!
Here is a video with an Accordion! It was about the 5th time I tried to get it right and this one passed. :)

Christmas!

Hey all!

Merry Christmas to you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thank God for your fellowship,
Through the Christ of Christmas,

~JT.

Sledding

Well, Today we attempted to sled on the sand bank out back. It was very fun even though I could not make it as far as LJ could. I instead took up the role of instructor and taught LJ how to go farther and ect. It was a fun day. I am excited that tomorrow is Christmas Eve and can't wait until Candlelight service. I will be playing some music in a bell ensemble. Praise the Lord for opportunities to serve him.

I also did some last minute shopping today with my Mom. IT WAS CRAZY! My goodness... everyone was going everywhere and I was glad that I wasn't driving because I would of been rather nervous. :)

God bless your Christmas and remember, Christ is the reason for the season. Not the presents, ( ALTHOUGH they are really nice. ) Not the Family gatherings, ( ALTHOUGH those are even better with all the great food. Do you sense a weakness? :) but the Son of God who came to Earth as a baby to save his people from their sins. Praise God for his Love and Mercy!

God bless and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Hope this helps!

Here we go!/Winter has come!

Hey All!!!

We got our first BIG snow. If you have followed the weather or the news you'll see that the whole East Coast is getting dumped on. I would say that we have at least 6 inches as of snow with a whole bunch more coming. LJ and I were out there earlier and it is going to really pile up. I wouldn't be surprised if Church is canceled in the morning. I just hope that the play isn't canceled. Whatever God wills though.

Whatever God wills. That is something that I know that I could use to learn more. I started reading the Gospel of Mark 2 days ago and I have noticed something. If you have a study Bible or any Bible with an "introduction" to a book they will probably note that Mark uses the word "immediately" ( or straightway. ) 45 times. Such as in Mark 1:20-21, "And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.
Mar 1:21 And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught." After reading the intro those "straightways" really stuck out. Jesus didn't hesitate to do what was right. He did it IMMEDIATELY. How many times I have hesitated and procrastinated from doing what I KNOW I should do. What about you? God doesn't say that doing it right away will be easy.... Look at Mark 5:2, "And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit." This guy was a crazy, outcast, possessed man. As soon as Jesus stepped out of that boat, "But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him." Then Jesus said, "For he said unto him, Come out of the man, [thou] unclean spirit." It took courage to stand up to help this Crazy Maniac but Jesus had compassion. I pray that God would give me that compassion and the obedience.

Well I am going to throw up some pictures of the snow and I hope you enjoy!

Isn't the Snow just Beautiful?

Snow Angels!

God bless!!!

Howard!

I would like to formally introduce,
HOWARD!!!

Adios!

Ps. I am going to try and get on here once a week and at least put up a couple of lines. Please remind me and be like a gad fly. Sting me until I post. :) ( That's a play on words. Don't really sting me. :)

The Second Snow and an update

Hey All!!!

Okay. I know it has been a LONG time with no post but I finally have time to hop on here. Forgive my absence.

Things are going well here and I am enjoying the cold weather. I would like to formally introduce you all to my good friend, Howard. He is the first of his kind this season and I think you will enjoy meeting him. ( To anyone named Howard I apologize for the coincidence. :) His picture shall come up shortly. Little J, Big J, and I made him after a snowball fight. :)

God is good, amen?!? I had the privilege to go to an Leaders in Training conference in the beginning of Dec and it was just a blast. I attended a session on Leading through fear and God really spoke. What stood out to me though was in the Last message by Evangelist Rich Tozour. Mr. Tozour was speaking on The Mantle of Leadership/Elisha and Elijah. I found it very interesting that Elijah went up in the Whirlwind not the chariot of fire or the horses but Elisha had to keep his eyes on Elijah and it would have been sssooo easy to watch all that was going on around him but Elisha kept his eyes on his goal. The most important part though is when Elisha reached down and picked up the Mantle of Elijah. I know... your thinking, "big deal with the weird turban okay?" But it is so much more than that. God had a plan for Elisha. He wanted to use him but it was up to Elisha to pick up that Mantle of Leadership and use it to be used by God. What about you? Has God given you a job to do? Are you willing to pick up the the "mantle" left in your local church, school, or just your sphere of influence as in your friends, family, and for some, co-workers? I know that God really spoke to me on picking up the job's that are there. God can use you. You don't need a bible college degree or anything like that. ( although those are good things and can help you serve even more. ) Pray and ask God what he would want you to do. It will change your life. I know it has changed mine.

Well I must go for if I kept going I wouldn't have anything left to type for future posts. :)
God bless you all as you grow closer to him in your life,
Adios Mé Compadres.

So I will not be online a whole bunch in the next two weeks!

Recent things of Life!

Hello All!

I am sorry that I have not posted for, well, quite a while. I seem to be very busy this summer. :)

Last week I had the privilege to attend Music Camp at West Coast Baptist College. I had an awesome time under great preaching and teaching. I learned a lot about singing and got to sing in the camp and concert choir. I also was very privileged to take a piano lesson from Bro. Hopkins in which I learned a ton! I met some great new people and had a great time in the Dorm room! :)  I was even insane enough to ride 5 rides at Magic Mountain! ( surprise, I know :)))  Zach joined us and then we met another guy and he completed our dorm room group. As many of you know, Jus isn't a morning person... Neither was Gabe. ( the other guy in our room. )  So when Zach and I hopped out of bed at 6 in the morning with loud mouths it made a very good reason to go to the dining hall! :-))))) Now we had fun and that is how we will leave it. :) I also met a guy in the other room and he was from the same location as we were so that was fun. Tuesday night we, ( Gabe, Jus, Zach and I of which will proudly be referred to as room 101 from here on out. ) were talking and said, " We should ask Bradley that." :) Then Brad's head comes popping around the corner saying, "what?" ( he was in room 103) So the joke through out the week was, " Lets ask Bradley that..." :))) But what was most hilarious was that almost every time you would say that Brad would come into our room. :)

I was very pleased with the week and am very thankful for the opportunity that the Lord gave me. The preaching was awesome and I loved sitting under men of God for one whole week! One of my favorite messages was Bro. Jon Guy teaching on the work of God. One of the things he said really stuck out to me. He said that, " the work of God has priority." But what he said after that really got me thinking. He said, " there are three ways to use your time, one way is to waste your time, the second way is to spend your time, and the third way is to INVEST YOUR TIME! " That really made me wonder, what I was doing with my time? I most definitely waste time, but how often do I INVEST my time? Another main theme was surrender. Have you surrendered your music talent to the Lord? I felt convicted about that. I certainly could use my talent for the Lord more often. Not to mention the fact that I could have a better attitude when I use my gifts for my CREATOR. I am sorry to have no pics... I don't have a camera so... Brad's Mom hopefully has some photos that I can get so I might be able to post something! :)

Well I hope that you laughed and learned something from all of that. :)

I gotta run!

Polls and Random things of life....

Hey all!

Sorry it took so long to get the poll results up. I fell behind on some school work that I needed to get done. ( I just got off Spring break so I'm still trying to get used to the "swing" of things. :)))

All right the answer to the poll is.........  Hail and fire, mingled with blood that burns up all the grass!

Surprise! I want to thank all who voted and hope to put another pole up.

Life has been busy of late. We had spring break last week. It was nice to not have school to do but I have been a little slow in getting back into the "normal swing of things." We have our first science class tomorrow. It should be interesting. :) I have struggled with chemistry. It uses a higher math level than what I am currently doing so it gets a little confusing! :)

We participated in a reenactment in Payson, Az. IT WAS GREAT!!!!! I loved it! I was allowed to carry a musket this time because my b-day is in May and I'm almost the age I need to be to carry anyway. I have some pictures that I am going to attach!

Well I gotta go! Breakfast is calling!

Things that have happened....

Hiya! I was thinking that maybe you all would like to hear about my recent trip to the east coast! If not then just skip to the bottom of this post.

Our flight from west to east went smoothly except for as we were landing in Baltimore. Then it got a little bumpy and I began to feel kinda sick. But none the less we made it safely into the arms of my Grandparents and we're soon headed "home"! We woke up early Thursday morning and met the group from Calvary at Myers and started toward the camp. I would like to thank all the ladies for inculding me in the conversation! Now I don't have anything against anybody but I enjoy it when my Dad and I can go. If you know what I mean, " man to man, Father to son time!" None the less I had a great time with my mom who I love dearly! ( Love you mom :)

After the ride down which was pretty uneventful except one thing.... The FOOD STOP!!!!! ( Please remember that this is a baptist, growing boy's blog LOL ;-)  We stopped at Shoney's... and from my perspective it was GREAT!!!! All you can eat breakfast buffet and.... well I had better not spend my time ranting and raving about food. :)

Well I was in the "pits" again at camp... I have grown strangely fond of the big metal Hobart that steams, hisses and washes dishes. I had a great time working and wasn't as tired after this advance. It seems that after each one you get more accustomed to the work! :) I love working somewhere where the work is put toward more worthwhile things. I went to the Shrivers Saturday night and was excited at the thought of whole basement to myself. But....................................................... Once it got rather dark down there........................................... I kinda thought that a night in the Boy's room sounded pretty great! I wasn't really scared that it was dark........... okay a little. :) but If someone broke in to the basement......... I would be the only one down there! :( So with out further a-do I hopped up the stairs to join everyone else! I must say that I really enjoy the company of others compared to being by myself.... some people can be loners, and I really enjoy it every once and awhile, but I really like to be around others!

After a refreshing time under God's word at Calvary, I went to the Shrivers and had fun with Miss Beth and music 'til time to leave when my Pap and Nan drove us down to the airport! ( Thank you Pappy! ) We had a uneventful flight back and there is the end of my stories!

I took some pics of the sunsets! I LOVE the sunsets. They have such beauty in them! Also we went to an Air show and the Thunderbirds were there so they are on here too! here they are!

I gotta run! See ya!

Polls 2

The Question for the Poll is,

"Out of the Seven Churches that received messages in the book of Revelation. Which were not rebuked for a fault in the Body?"

Enjoy!

Ps. Don't Check your Bibles! :)))))

Where I was! :)

Hiya Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!! I am back from my trip back east! I had a great time working and enjoying the cold weather! I took some panoramic photos of the camp where the Prayer Advance was and they turned out nice. Here they are, ( If you click on the photo you can see a larger version. )

The Dining Hall

The Lake

God has really taught me at this advance that I am to be different. I am not to be like the "normal" mediocrity kid. I am not saying that I don't mess up. I sure do but I have grace in Jesus. But there should be a difference between a believer in Jesus Christ and a non-believer.

It was really nice to see everyone back east. I miss the east coast a lot but, I am REALLY enjoying wearing shorts! LOL :) Well there is sure something about the beauty of snow on the ground.  I have started to play around with panoramic photos. They are pretty fun! I took a picture of the mountains. Here it is.

I am putting up some polls and NO checking your Bible. These are strictly testing what you know. :)  Gotta run! JT

Things of Life

Hiya! Things are busy here. We have friends coming to visit us next week and we are busy cleaning! I am flying to the east coast to work at the LPA (www.christlifemin.org) I am excited to see what God will do at this Prayer Advance. Yesterday I was reading in Revelation and God showed me that while we can NEVER lose our salvation Rev. 3:11 says, "Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown." While we never lose our salvation satan can definitely steal away our VICTORS crown! We must stay faithful to keep that victors crown. The thing that satan wants the most is to make us "non-effective christians". He wants us to be so steeped in sin that we lose sight of our goal and our finish line. I struggle with keeping my eyes on Him. The way of this world is definitely attracting but as Matthew says, "But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal." All things except souls are going to burn away someday and we must bring the good news to people. I can't wait to see what God has in store for today!

I have been teaching piano for almost three months now. It is difficult ( gives me appreciation for the poor people who had to teach me :-))) but it is really cool to impart your love of music to others! I took some photo's at my grandparents house a while ago and thought I'd post them! See ya,
JT
